Dear Red:
I hope the attached Faulkner quote is the one you want. Albert left the office, about an hour before your letter came, and will be gone for about a week. Nan is away, and won’t return until next Monday. However, I went straight through Chapter VI, and this was the only Faulkner quotation I could find.
In case Albert hadn’t heard about it, and hasn’t had a chance to tell you, a memorandum also just came that says: WHO SPEAKS FOR THE NEGRO? has been changed from publication date of May 12 to May 27.
I hope that you and yours are, in addition to being busy, healthy and happy.
All best,
[Signed: Suzanne]
