                  The $2,000 Irita Van Doren Award was presented on June 16 to Robert Penn Warren for his book, Who Speaks for the Negro?  (Random House).  This was the second presentation of the annual award named for the New York Herald Tribune’s literary editor emeritus.  The first presentation was to the late B. W. Huebsch.
