Dear Albert:
Hasty note. Gabriel has just gone to h[o]spital for an operation tomorrow for a nasty big infection on thigh. Staph. Not serious but not pleasant if it gets in blood stream. He’s an unhappy but game little boy – with birthday day after tomorrow.
(*1) Yes, I should like the dedication added to the new AKM.
I am sending – or rather Mrs. Callahan will send you – the last part of Chapter III (Malcolm X) to insert in the MS you have. Then, will you read that chapter. I am well into short Chapter IV -- relatively short. I hope to have the first draft of whole done by mid-August. Will come to NYC fo (for) conference when desired – or maybe we can get a visit out of you all. The place is turning out to be delightful.
E’s book is having a great press, isn’t it?
Love to all E[r]skines from all.
