Dr Kenneth B. Clark,
Northside Center for Child Development,
31 West 110,
New York City.
Dear Dr Clark:
Here is the transcript of our conversation. Will you kindly correct anything you wish and return to me. I am enclosing an addressed envelope to do that little to lighten your burden.
And I should like to ask another favor. As a sort of footnote to the interview I should like to make some brief reference to your involvement with the big Harlem project. I have followed things in the Times -- including this controversy with Powell -- but I should like to have a statement -- not a burdensome analysis, I know you haven’t time for that, but a little summary. Would this be possible? If not, my feelings won’t be hurt. But I feel that this would be an important little item.
Many thanks!
Very sincerely yours,
Robert Penn Warren
