Dear Mr. Dendas:
I am sending 8 tapes, 4 by Dr. Kenneth Clark, 2 by James Baldwin, 1 by Roy Wilkins, 1 by Ralph Ellison.
The tapes by Clark have one stray among them – not in the series, but it is dates to distinguish from others. Keep this distinction, please.
The Roy Wilkins, too, is a stray – transcribe it with nunber (number) here to place in proper series already done by you.
Please have a check made of tapes in your hands to see if another Ralph Ellison is there. I thought that it was. In any case, let’s transcribe this one now.
No problems about Baldwin, thank God for small favors.
I enclose a check.
Thanks and regards,
Robert Penn Warren
